Adai is prepared like dosa.Even if we have 2 or 3 adai's we feel full.Jaggery goes well with it.it is rice in proteins as 3 kinds of dhal goes in it.
1 cup rice
1 cup dhal(1/2 cup toor dhal & half cup channa dhal)
3 tsp of urad dhal for 3 hrs.
3-4 green chillies, few pieces coriander leaves ,one onion finely chopped & salt to taste are the other ingredients that goes into making adai.
soak rice separately & all dhal together.then drain water and grind rice then dhal. when grinding dhal add green chillies,coriander leaves and salt. To the ground flour mixture add chopped onions.Leave it on for 10 mins then make it adai's.
for variation add grated carrots,peas etc.Adai cannot be prepared thin like dosa because of onions in it.Try it you will like it.
